The great psychoanalyst, mystic, and philosopher Carl Jung termed synchronicity “an acausal connecting principle that links seemingly unrelated and unconnected events”. This concept of “coincidence” is well established in Eastern mysticism and thought, but runs contrary in western thought to cause and effect. We tendto view coincidences as chance happening rather than looking for the hiddenmeaning behind them. Everyday our lives our guided by the great force we call God, this force or energy pervades everything from the biggest mountain to the smallest grain of sand. We live in a universe composed of energy (God) where everything and I mean everything is connected at a sub atomic level. We live in blissful ignorance believing that we are all separate human beings, black, white, yellow, Muslim, Hindu, Christian etc, but, these are only titles we give from our ego-centric consciousness.
When we connect with this energy our lives will have purpose, we will see beauty and marvel of creation and our part in it, it gives our lives meaning and hope. If you tread on one ant it has an effect somewhere in the universe, hold a grain of sand in your hand and you hold the universe and the seed of creation. How many times have you prayed to God recently? or sent out a heart felt cry for help? And then to wrongly assume that your prayers have not been answered. Every prayer every thought is stored in this energy matrix, and subtly through coincidences or “synchronicity” our thoughts and prayer are answered. We are given little signs that point us in acertain direction, or lead us on to a new path, a path that if we recognise it will ultimately lead us to our destiny.
How many times have you been thinking of a particular person and the phone rings, you lift it up and its them, or a problem on your mind is seemingly answered by a book opening to a certain page and chapter, or you can be watching TV, and a program will just happen to be on which is about a question you had on your mind. All these little things are “synchronicities” it is God, the universalmind, talking to you and showing you the way to liberation. Unfortunately most of us are not connected because we live hectic lives, wrapped up in our own egos of me me , I want, I want, I want.
Our thoughts are energy, where ourattention goes energy flows influencing other energy. The mystics and ancientphilosophers knew this, they were aware that by our thoughts we create our ownreality. Think negatively you attract negative situations and people into yourlife, think positively and you attract positive people and situations that willenhance your life.
Thoughts are things; really want to change your life? You can, change your thought processes and watch the miracle happen. Have you noticed how you can meet certain people and you either feel very comfortable with them or feel ill at ease in their presence. This is because the energy is magnetic in nature and repels and attracts, so if someoneis in harmony with your energy you feel good about them, if they are negative you feel bad. By this same manner inner disharmony creates an outward manifestation of disease or “Dis-ease”.
Synchronicities can be summed up as people, places or events that your soul attracts into your life for your inner development and spiritual growth. Sometimes these events can point to harsh learning lessons you may not want to experience, sometimes they just point to a new direction for us to take in life, sometimes they will provide an answer to a question that will lead us forward and sometimes we miss the point completely!
