Tiphareth also known as the sun sephirah or the heart sephirah sits above Yesod and below daath (the hidden sephira) and Kether. Its colour is golden yellow like our physical sun and isthe mediator on the tree of life.
Representing both beauty & balance the aspect of deity is ELOAH va DAATH, God-Goddess of knowledge, the experience of existence. Creation is carried out by the archangel Raphael whose name means “like God”. Its position in the middle of the tree, in the pillar of mildness or equilibrium. It is the emanation of Chesed and Geburah.
In Tiphareth we see that by the union of mercy and justice (Chesed and Geburah) we obtain Beauty. It is thecentre of equilibrium of the Tree of life. It is a link, a point of transition. The four sephirah represent the higher self, while Kether is the divine spark in which is the seed of manifestation. The four lower sephirah are represented of the personality or lower self.
Two of the symbols associated with Tiphareth are a small child and a sacrificed God, in which may be seen both the Christ and the Egyptian pantheon Osiris. In the child we see the beginning that ends in the sacrificed God for the purpose of transformation of the material into the Divine. The aspect of Tiphareth is the point of transmutation between the planes of force and the planes of form. The sun represents the giver of life, which we can find in the gold of the Alchemists. It represents the mysteries of the crucifixion (meditate on this)
But why the sephirah of the sacrificed Gods?
In order for form to be stabilised(order out of chaos), the forces out of which it is built must be brought into balance. Therefore, we find the idea of the Redeemer, inherent in Tiphareth. When the Godhead manifests in form, its form must be perfectly balanced. God ismade manifest among us when the conditions permit the manifestation. Having gone through the manifestation on the planes of form in the Child aspect of Tiphareth, the incarnated God grows to manhood and becomes the Redeemer.
In other words, having obtained incarnation by means of matter in a virgin state, i.e Mary, Marah, the sea, the Great Mother, Binah, a supernal as distinguished from the Inferior Mother,Malkuth, the developing God manifestation, is for ever striving to bring the Kingdom of the six central Sephirah into a state of balance.
The redeemer manifests inTiphareth, and is for ever striving to redeem his kingdom by re-uniting it tothe supernals across the gulf made by the fall, which separated the lowersephirah from the higher, and by bringing the forces of the six fold kingdom into balance.
To this end are the incarnated gods sacrificed, dying for the people, in order that the tremendous emotional force set free by this act may compensate the unbalanced force of the Kingdom and thus redeem it or bring it into balance. That is why this sphere is called The Christ centre, and it is here that the Christian religion has its focu spoint. It is called by Kabalists Shemesh (sphere of the sun); and it is interesting to note that all sun gods are healing gods, and all healing gods are sun gods.
