I was struck by this moment on my morning walk.
We often think of the spiritual path as a single, straight road leading to a single destination. But in my experience—after four decades in the labyrinth—it’s much more like a spiders web.
It’s a shimmering network of connections, each strand going in a different direction. I spent years chasing some of those strands to the very edge, following the lines of ritual, occult philosophy, and secret knowledge. Some strands felt fragile, others solid. Some led me to great heights, and some left me in the dark.
But look at the photo. No matter how far the individual strands go, they all ultimately lead back to the center. Every experience, every teacher, every tradition I encountered was just another strand in my own personal web.
The center isn’t some complex occult doctrine or a high degree. It is the simple, direct presence of your own heart. All the paths I walked, however complex, were ultimately designed to lead me right back to where I already was: standing in the light. 🕷️✨
